San Diego,USA - Travel Guide

Located on Pacific Ocean in California, the coastal city of San Diego has nearly 1.5 million tourists. Housing the Pacific Fleet of US Navy, there is a very strong presence of military in the city which is widely popular thanks to its impressive beaches and ideal climate. Various tourist attractions in San Diego include the famous San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld theme park. Due to its rather slowed pace atmosphere than other cities such as Los Angeles that neighbors it on the northern side, most tourists come to San Diego for its soothing atmosphere and to escape the hustles and bustles associated with busier cities. 




Downtown San Diego is the city’s hub of nightlife and business and there are numerous tourist attractions here amongst the many hotel towers and gleaming offices. Balboa Park Hillcrest is well known for the popular San Diego Zoo and many fantastic museums. Hillcrest is just located next door and it is an urban, trendy neighborhood. Then there is Old Town Mission Valley where Spanish people made their first settlement in California and has now expanded to become a famous commercial center. Other neighborhoods with notable tourist attractions in San Diego include point Loma Ocean Beach, Mission Beach Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Mid City, Northeastern and San Ysidro. 


Balboa Park in San Diego is a place where you will find various museums, arboretums, gardens and parks, flowering gardens and the Spanish Neo- Classical architecture make the area rather attractive. Sea World is home of Shamu and this is the best place that visitors can interact with some aquatic animals excitingly. Through the enclosures, displays and shows provided, you will be able to learn a lot about world’s oceans. La Jolla coastal community is an upscale region in San Diego that is characterized by ocean cliffs, beaches and secluded coves where you can explore. La Jolla has dozens of restaurants, high end shopping centers and coffee shops. Birch Aquarium has fantastic exhibits that include standard aquarium fish, physical oceanography and the massive kelp tank. 



Downtown San Diego is plenty of nightlife, shopping and restaurants and there are two intriguing museums that you must visit which are the San Diego Maritime Museum and USS Midway Museum. Beaching in San Diego is an interesting activity to go for surfing and swimming and some of the best beaches worthy a visit include Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and La Jolla. Each of these beaches is unique in its own way and is very popular among tourists in the area.



San Diego also boasts of bustling microbrewery scenery and beer tasting is an activity that you will definitely not want to miss. The 44 breweries available here attract many visitors from all over the world. San Diego also boasts of having excellent beaches where you can go surfing and spending some time in the water sailing, jet skiing and wind surfing. Other interesting things to do in San Diego include scuba diving, whale watching, boating, hang gliding, hiking, biking and golfing.
