Benidorm, Costa Blanca, Spain - Travel Guide

The seaside resort of Benidorm is located on Costa Blanca and has a large population of both retired British and local Spanish people. Benidorm is today a famous place thanks to its tall holiday apartment blocks and hotels, some which are more than 25 floors high. The quality of accommodation at Benidorm has significantly increased and the resort is now not only visited by package holiday visitors only but also tourists looking for 5 star spa complexes and hotels. It is easy to discover Benidorm and most of its treasures on foot as the resort is quite compact. Alternatively, you can hire a scooter for more convenience. 



There are spectacular and wonderful Blue Flag Beaches in Benidorm which are Levante and Poniente. Poniente is more sedate and most families and locals prefer visiting the beach over Levante. Benidorm has 4 km of sand beaches that are completely safe and enjoyable to spend some time on them. 


Being a purpose built resort; you will realize that everything in Benidorm is geared towards enjoyment and fun. However, you won’t find a lot of things to see at the resort if you are more interested in culture. The villages and towns surrounding Benidorm are definitely worthy exploration by any person wishing to experience ‘Real Spain’ in its true colors. Old town church is among the most interesting parts of Benidorm that you should consider visiting. 



There is so much to do in Benidorm and have fun like 4kwatri which is a family park having a children’s playground. Aqualandia is a family water park and Mundomar is a sealife and an animal park both of which are very popular among tourist. The stunning old town of Altea is just some few kilometers from Benidorm by bus. Terra Natura is a huge theme park having thrill rides and it is one of the must visit places especially if you are with your kids. Areas found within this theme park have been organized amazingly in seven cultures like Iberia and Greece. The 25 rides available at Benidorm are such as water rapids which offer extreme fun. Terra Natura is a water park and a wildlife park as well. 



Blanket trips at Benidorm are offered free of charge to the nearby markets, towns and resorts. Benidorm also has luxury yachts and you will find some of the largest yacht charter companies in the world here. Walking around Benidorm is an enjoyable thing to do and there are so many interesting places where you can walk to. You will also find some boat trips as well and local restaurants and pubs have free Wi-Fi connection and internet cafes are also many. Benidorm is known to have plenty of some cheap shoes and leather items that you can buy at the market. Alcohol and cigarettes are also very cheap in Benidorm and most tourists are very keen to take advantage of this during their holiday. On Wednesdays and Sundays, there is a large local market where you buy most of the things you want.
