Kuala Lumpur is a historic, cultural and economically thriving capital city of Malaysia. It is one of the top listed tourist destinations in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur has several features to showcase to its visitors. The city has a city within it, it has one of the highest buildings in the world and beautiful and unique natural sites waiting to be viewed. Kuala Lumpur is one of the greatest Asian travel destinations that attracts millions of years every year. 



Kuala Lumpur emerged in 1880 as a replacement of the state capital, Selangor, so as to keep the residents and businesses safe from the natural disasters like floods and diseases that occurred at the previous mining center. Kuala Lumpur city was from then a territory of the Selangor State but in 1974 Kuala Lumpur was separated from Selangor and given up to Malaysia.



There are many unique sites to meet in this large city of Kuala Lumpur. Witness the second highest buildings in the world known as the Petronas Twin Towers. There are many historic buildings to witness the history, culture and heritage of Kuala Lumpur. The Lake Gardens have a splendid natural appearance and are perfect centers to have a picnic with your loved ones.



One of the largest and most famous centers in Kuala Lumpur is the Kuala Lumpur City Center. This center is nicknamed the city within a city. It has everything you would expect to se in any normal city. Here you can access the artistic Taiwan designs, cultural items such as the traditional to modern clothing used in Taiwan, many recreational centers to have fun and be entertained.



The natural attractions to be visited at Kuala Lumpur are its rivers, valley and mountains. Kuala Lumpur is a Taiwan term that means the muddy confluence where two rivers meet. Two major rivers: Klang River and Gombak River, meet at Kuala Lumpur. 


Other natural features are the giant Klang Valley next to the Titiwangsa Mountain Ranges and the significant Strait of Malacca located at the western side of Kuala Lumpur. The Bati Caves are the wildest feature near the city and it is a real adventure travelling into the caves. The tour guide will also take you to a hill top where the large, erected statue of Hindu god, Lord Murugan, is worshipped by the Indians every day. 


There are many activities to enjoy while touring Kuala Lumpur. The Berjaya Times Square Theme Park is filled with all kinds of playful equipment, mostly the roller coasters, where you can fun with your kids. There are boat trips to take you around the major rivers. Tourists can enjoy catching some fish from the rivers. There are also camp sites for camp lovers. The Bukit Bintang is a place where you can shop for trendy items and souvenirs. There are several exotic clubs to dance and party all night till dawn. 



Kuala Lumpur has several fine well equipped restaurants, exotic hotels and resorts. Most of them are situated strategically to have an accessible sea view from their apartments. There are varieties of unique local food recipes offered from the Malaysian cultural taste as well as the international flavored dishes available to satisfy your taste.
