Borovets (Borovec), Bulgaria - Travel Guide

As the largest international mountain resort in Bulgaria, Borovets is used for World Championship ski events, and has hosted twice competitions from the Alpine skiing World Cup. Located at 1,390 m above sea level, with pistes up to 2,600 m, Borovets offers friendly atmosphere, excellent skiing, and incredible value of money. And it’s not very far from Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia.. In fact, it’s only takes one hour’s drive. On 3 minutes walk from the Gondola lift, you can find magnificent, self-catering chalet with sauna, which fits up to 6 people. 

This travel destination is worth visiting, for both beginners  and advanced and expert skiers, since there are variety of difficulty levels on the ski runs. They are grouped in 3 regions : Sitnyakovo–Martinovi Baraki, Markudjik and Yastrebetz. 

The most attractive feature about this resort is the great night life, bars and taverns, and it also provides you to ski at night. The trails are very challenging and attractive, for skiers, as well as for snowboarders.
